the material feels quite different and has a stronger/different smell than my other silicone toys, which made me concerned, but it may just be a different manufacturing process. it's about the size of a finger, very soft. if you're an absolute beginner and nervous, this might be for you, but for most people i'd suggest looking for a different starter toy, most people can take more than this first time
